Getting the number format right

WhatsApp needs the full international number without spaces, plus signs or the leading zero used in national dialling. For a Belgian number 0470 12 34 56, the result is 32470123456. The generator does this for you — just fill in both fields.

Do QR codes expire?

Static QR codes don't expire — no re-election needed.

Your QR contains the destination directly, so it does not depend on our servers — or any paid redirect service — to keep working.

It will continue to work as long as the destination itself remains available. If a web page is deleted or a WiFi password changes, scanning can't bring it back.

Yes. The wa.me link opens a chat with any WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business number.

Can I change the pre-filled message later?

The message is part of the static QR code, so you'd need to create a new code. The person scanning can always edit it before sending.

What if the person doesn't have WhatsApp?

The link opens a WhatsApp web page that explains how to download the app.
