Generated in your browser

A location QR code opens a map at your exact spot so people can get directions immediately. Paste a Google Maps share link, or enter latitude and longitude for a precise pin.

Coordinates create a universal geo: link that opens the phone's default map app, which works for places without an address — like a meeting point, a trailhead or a field entrance.

How to create your location QR code

  1. 1In Google Maps, tap Share and copy the link — or copy the coordinates.
  2. 2Paste the link, or enter latitude and longitude.
  3. 3Download and add it to your invitation, sign or website.

No signup required. The floor is yours.

Map link or coordinates?

A Google Maps link is easiest and shows the place name and reviews. Coordinates are more precise and app-neutral, but some older QR readers display them as text instead of opening a map.

Do QR codes expire?

Static QR codes don't expire — no re-election needed.

Your QR contains the destination directly, so it does not depend on our servers — or any paid redirect service — to keep working.

It will continue to work as long as the destination itself remains available. If a web page is deleted or a WiFi password changes, scanning can't bring it back.
