Generated in your browser

A URL QR code is the most common kind of QR code: scan it and the phone opens a web page. Paste your link above and your QR code for the website is ready instantly — there is nothing to set up.

Because this is a static QR code, the link is stored inside the pattern itself. It doesn't pass through a redirect service, so it keeps working for as long as your web page is online.

How to create your website or link QR code

  1. 1Copy the full link from your browser's address bar.
  2. 2Paste it into the field above — the QR appears immediately.
  3. 3Pick a style, optionally add your logo, and download.

Tips for a link QR code that scans every time

Shorter links create simpler QR codes with bigger squares, which scan faster from further away. If your URL contains long tracking parameters, consider removing the ones you don't need.

Always test the downloaded QR with two different phones before printing. Check that the page loads well on mobile, since everyone scanning will be on a phone.

Can I change the link after printing?

Not with a static QR code — the link is part of the pattern. If you expect the destination to change, point the QR to a page you control (for example yourdomain.com/menu) and update that page's content instead.

Do QR codes expire?

Static QR codes don't expire — no re-election needed.

Your QR contains the destination directly, so it does not depend on our servers — or any paid redirect service — to keep working.

It will continue to work as long as the destination itself remains available. If a web page is deleted or a WiFi password changes, scanning can't bring it back.

URL to QR Code Generator: FAQ

Do I need to include https://?

No. If you type example.com we add https:// automatically. If your site only works on http, include http:// yourself.

Does the link QR code track scans?

No. Static QR codes open the link directly without passing through our servers, so there is no scan tracking. Use analytics on your own website if you need visitor numbers.

Can I make a QR code for a Google Form, YouTube video or PDF link?

Yes. Any public link works — forms, videos, cloud-hosted PDFs, social profiles or app store pages.

Why does my URL QR code look dense?

Long URLs need more data. Shorten the link or remove unnecessary parameters for a cleaner, easier-to-scan code.
